  1. Dear Phyllis and David,
I have prayed for you both every day since the day David and I spoke on the phone and he told me of the challenge the Lord has put before you. Your faith, courage and perseverance are shining examples to us all.

David’s story was compelling already and his service to our fallen heroes makes him a hero to those of us who believe in our Country, our men and women in the military and in the Lord. My simple dream/goal is to have you both at our Memorial Say event in 2012. It continues to be one of the best in the country and I want David there to ring the Bell to proclaim liberty and to proclaim your victory against this illness.

I join with you in your hopes and prayers.

I remember a little while back, reading about the “traveling bell” I thought WOW..what kind of man has type dedication that he would take time to honor people he has never met. This man must be so cool. Then heard about his own battle that he is fighting..I thought ..his name is David.. I thought that is great, David, this man is a fighter, after all it was his namesake that killed a gaint with little stone. So he, david must be a fighter.
I was reading my Bible lastnight and just keep finding the same thing over and over again. Matthew 10:1 Luke 9:1 ……for He gave us power over sickness…

My brother is fighting his battle with cancer as well…I can understand the stress that comes with the battle. Know that you both are in my prayers.

I will always remember Dave for all of his benevolent works, strength, and tireless passion to impact the lives of others long before the bell.. I am glad I knew him. This world needs more people like him.
